Our Financial Planning Process | Envision Wealth Management

It Starts with You.

Our process begins with getting to know you and your goals (needs, wants, and wishes). It is difficult to help you get somewhere when we don’t know where you want to go. With you telling us what you want, we'll work with you to develop a Financial Plan that suits your needs. Then, as your life changes, some of your original goals may change…that’s when we'll adjust your plan, so that it better aligns with your new path.

We believe a detailed Financial Plan is one of the most effective ways to work toward creating financial security and help you feel confident. That is why our process focuses on building a sound Financial Plan with your goals in mind. An effective financial plan seeks to help provide financial security throughout your life, and can also works toward reducing the setbacks, as life will toss challenges in your direction.

So what are the steps?

1. Introductory Meeting (Listen)

In our first meeting, we'll identify your goals (needs, wants, and wishes). We’ll also discuss your values, priorities, preferences, and your unique situation along with any obstacles you may currently have. During this meeting we'll also mutually establish what your expectations are for us, what it’s like to work with us, our scope of work along with our fee structure. All of this is to determine if an ongoing partnership is the right fit.

 2. Exploration & Preliminary Planning (Clarify)

If we determine that an ongoing partnership is a good fit, we'll plan another meeting to take a deeper dive into your unique situation. We’ll request detailed financial documents along with anything else that will clarify your goals, values, priorities, and preferences. As we have a more detailed conversation about your personal and financial goals, we'll start sketching a preliminary plan. The more open and transparent this phase is, the more detailed our plan will be.

3. Detailed Planning (Educate)

Now that we have a foundation, we’ll work together in a series of meetings to review your financial plan by educating and empowering you to make informed financial decisions in pursuit of your goals. When complete we’ll deliver an easy-to-follow roadmap that will help guide you towards your financial goals. This plan will address the areas that are most important to you, pointing out areas of concerns along with the steps needed to conquer potential obstacles. Your plan will also aim to gain maximum returns via the risk you are willing to take as well as options to work toward protecting your assets in challenging times.

 4. Put into effect (Implement)

After reviewing your financial plan and understanding what we are doing, you are now ready to implement your recommendations to reach your goals. Together, we can work toward overcoming any additional challenges you face while putting your plan into practice.

 5. Ongoing Support & Advice (Monitor)

Because your life is constantly changing, your financial plan will need to change too. What your goals were today does not mean that they will be the same tomorrow, so we’ll monitor your progress annually, semiannually or quarterly based on your needs. This will aim to help you remain on track and adjust your plan to overcome any new challenges as they arise, helping you feel confident in the pursuit of your goals.
